AMETHYST Click image to enlarge	Amethyst is a form of Quartz and is found as crystals or masses. Amethyst's classic purple color is a result of manganese and iron inclusions. Some rare varieties of Amethyst are almost black in color. Other varieties of Amethyst are purple/white banded chevron amethyst and prasiolite, which is a green amethyst colored by mineral includsions. Amethyst magnifies the energy of other crystals and is good for overall protection. It can be used to encourage chastity and relieve homesickness. It also aids with negotiation skills, decision-making, wealth, business success, moving forward in life, coping with responsibility and change, and public speaking. CINNABAR Click image to enlarge	Cinnabar is found in the form of druses, tabular, and needle-like crystals and masses. A heavy reddish mercuric sulfide, HgS, that is the principal ore of mercury. The name is derived from an Indian or Persian word for dragon's blood. Cinnabar may also be colored red/brown and gray. Cinnabar is known as a merchant's stone because it enhances wealth, and business and financial pursuits. It also brings vitality. Common sources: Australia, Europe, Japan, Mexico, Russia, USA (mostly SW region). Zodiac associations: Leo.
